Isaiah 55:11
So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it. KJV
SEE the bottom of this article for this same verse compared in various Bible versions/ translations and some commentary for study. I bet you had not a clue there were this many translations in existance! There are even more than these. I personally prefer the KJV simply becuse I am accustomed to it and others seem foriegn to me. I do, however LOVE to compare for the sake if understanding and study.
It is God Who’s Holy Spirit inspired the Bible, may He bless each and every soul, change lives, soften hearts of those He sends our way for these very inexpensive Bibles!
I was pleasantly surprised that the first high dollar KJV Thompson Chain Study Bible that was started for $1 (sorry for the repitition)but yes REALLY $1 with No reserve set and Free shipping was bid up to more than we would have asked for it in a Buy it Now. Equally pleasant was that ebay allowed me to send 2nd chance offers to bidders that were very close to the ending bid. I had 3 left of that particular Bible and both second chance offers were taken. So for that $1 starting bid I sold all 3 Bibles!
The next few Bibles that were not Thompsons that I listed at $1 sold for a lot less than I would have asked for them so I lost money on those. However, averaged out I think at least a small profit was made. I have about 50 listings now. About half of start at $1. We will see how it goes.

More article ideas to come: an update on if the $1 start price on the ebay Bibles started a huge buzz and a Bible bidding frenzy that actually helps us to pay off some long over due Bible bills or was a “give-a-way” ministry in the form of auctions. Also my testimony: from drug head loser to born again Bible wholesaler! (I could not afford a Bible when Jesus Christ my Lord saved me, thus discount Bible sales online was born!)
Do Pray for us all our brethren in Christ reading this, after over 7 years of successful online Bible sales we are going under. Pray God turn things around or show us what else we should do. Remember, God finishes what He starts. He started this business so is He going to finish what He started by closing this door and opening another OR make a way for us to catch up?

11. (Mt 24:35). Rain may to us seem lost when it falls on a desert, but it fulfils some purpose of God. So The Gospel word falling on the hard heart; it sometimes works a change at last; and even if so, it leaves men without excuse. The full accomplishment of this verse, and Isa 55:12, 13, is, however, to be at the Jews’ final restoration and conversion of the world (Isa 11:9-12; 60:1-5, 21).

55:6-13 Here is a gracious offer of pardon, and peace, and of all happiness. It shall not be in vain to seek God, now his word is calling to us, and his Spirit is striving with us. But there is a day coming when he will not be found. There may come such a time in this life; it is certain that at death and judgment the door will be shut. There must be not only a change of the way, but a change of the mind. We must alter our judgments about persons and things. It is not enough to break off from evil practices, we must strive against evil thoughts. To repent is to return to our Lord, against whom we have rebelled. If we do so, God will multiply to pardon, as we have multiplied to offend. But let none trifle with this plenteous mercy, or use it as an occasion to sin. Men’s thoughts concerning sin, Christ, and holiness, concerning this world and the other, vastly differ from God’s; but in nothing more than in the matter of pardon. We forgive, and cannot forget; but when God forgives sin, he remembers it no more.
The power of his word in the kingdoms of providence and grace, is as certain as in that of nature. Sacred truth produces a spiritual change in the mind of men, which neither rain nor snow can make on the earth. It shall not return to the Lord without producing important effects.
